The value of education
is well understood by Afghans, for it is considered one of the most important paths to peace and stable development in their country.
The village leadership, aware of our previous work in Afghanistan, began to approach us with their problems. They requested assistance with the construction of the schools in particular.
While we have already built 81 such schools in Afghanistan, locating the necessary sponsors for the construction of individual projects is becoming increasingly difficult. The biggest donor organizations which operate in Afghanistan make decisions based on national statistics and are not familiar with the particular problems of a particular people or region.
With the support of a few interested individuals from the Czech Republic we decided to initiate a unique project of direct sponsorship by private sources in order to quickly fund the particular construction of girls' schools in Afghanistan.
Thus Project Madan was born.
