Vietnamese blogger Pham Doan Trang was interrogated and beaten again

During the concert, members of the Vietnamese police arrived into the teahouse, some of them wearing uniforms, some of them dressed to civilian clothes. They arrested several people and took them to the police station for interrogation. Doan Trang and the lead singer Nguyen Tin were among them. Each of them was taken to a different place. Trang was beaten during the interrogation. After that, she was examined by a doctor, who confirmed that she had soft tissue injuries. According to Doan Trang, the man who was examining her, behaved suspiciously and did not look like a professional doctor.

The police confiscated her notebook, documents, credit card and cash. Then they took her home. However, the police car stopped in the middle of the way, the police took Doan Trang out and started beating her brutally with a biker helmet, which broke apart during that.

According to her colleague from the Luat Khoa Portal - Legal Journal, Doan Trang is safe for now. Today she should come to the police station to take her belongings and documents.

For a long time, the Vietnamese regime has been persecuting people who criticize it. Vietnam violates a number of fundamental human rights. Freedom of thought, belief, assembly, opinion and many others are limited. That is one of the things Pham Doan Trang was writing about in her articles and books.
