Another major earthquake in Nepal
Another major earthquake with magnitude of 7,4 has struck eastern Nepal. All members of our humanitarian team are safe and continue their activities.
"The tremors were so powerful that it was impossible to stay upright," says our media coordinator Tereza Hronova, who was distributing tarpaulins in the remote village of Hagam in the district of Sinpalchuk when the earthquake struck. There are wounded people in the village and strong possibility of landslides.
"The earthquake was very strong. People are scared. Our team is moving to another location, because the building near our campsite can collapse," our coordinator Denisa Bultasova describes the situation in the city of Gorkha.
We are trying to gather more information and assess the damage.
