Starting date: ASAP / based on agreement
Reports to: Head of Humansis
Allocation: Full-time or Part-time based on agreement (60% - 100%)
Duty station: Ideally Prague, or home-based in Europe/Middle East/Africa with regular travels to Prague

What is Humansis?

Humansis is a unique web-based application developed by People in Need. It provides an open source and secure data platform for humanitarian needs, such as storing demographic data and assessing vulnerability criteria. The system also provides digital services for the delivery of cash, goods and e-transfers (e-vouchers, mobile money etc.). It includes extensive mapping and advanced reporting functionalities. The project is now in a piloting phase.

Your responsibilities & tasks:

  • Learn what system is capable of and map processes and document it
  • Communicate and troubleshoot users’ difficulties
  • Develop team of L1 support from Humansis skilled users
  • Knowledge management of L1 support
  • Test new versions of the app
  • Coordinate User acceptance tests
  • Note the meeting minutes
  • Monitor and ensure team members’ tasks are fulfilled
  • Facilitate roll-outs of the software around the world (e.g. Nepal, Mongolia, Zambia...)
  • Support pilots of new functions and modules in different countries (e.g. biometric identity verification in one of PIN Country Programmes in Africa)
  • Participate on daily Stand-ups with developer
  • Assist the Product Owner with coordination tasks

Core Competencies for the Role:

  • Detail oriented, structured and simplistic
  • Communicative and attentive
  • Open to new challenges and changes
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge of Czech or Arabic language is an asset
  • At least one year of experience with some of these sectors:
    • Knowledge of Czech or Arabic language is a plus
    • Agile Management
    • IT Customer Support L2 or Help Desk
    • Humanitarian aid
    • IT solutions development
    • IT Service management
    • Quality assurance management
    • JIRA or similar
