Duration: 24 months with possibility of extension
Type of Contract: Part-time (average 20 hours a week)

Summary

The Youth Civic Engagement Advisor will be part of PIN’s Good Governance team and will be responsible for providing technical support to PIN’s youth civic engagement programming, including its flagship One World in Schools education methodology. The position will be based on PIN’s Prague office with travel to PIN’s country offices

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide remote and in-country technical advisory support/trainings to PIN’s youth civil society and civic engagement programming globally
  • Provide all technical and operational support for One World in School programming in PIN’s Relief and Development Department countries including remote and in-person training for OWIS project teams
  • Ensure effective coordination with PIN’s One World in Schools Department and incorporate innovations into PIN’s global programmes
  • Support PIN’s Good Governance team to develop new youth programming including fundraising, develop strategic partnerships and development of external communication materials
  • Coordinate with PIN’s Good Governance team to mainstream youth civic engagement in governance programming when relevant
  • Develop PIN’s youth civic engagement tools/resources and promote their use in relevant governance programming
  • Promote sharing of experiences and lessons learnt between different country programmes

Requirements

  • Experience in youth programming, in particular youth civil society development and civic engagement, experience in countries where PIN works is a distinct advantage
  • Experience working in either the formal or non-formal education sector, with an emphasis on human rights and civic education
  • Experience in program cycle management, including project design, results-based monitoring and impact evaluation
  • Willingness to travel to PIN country programmes 3-4 times per year
  • Fluency in English required
