Position Summary

The main task of a Learning & Development Support Officer (L&DSO) is to provide support to the Relief and Development Department (RDD) staff with their education and professional development in the assigned areas.  

Reporting Relations & Interdependencies with Other Functions

The L&DSO is part of RDD HQ HR team. S/he reports to the Learning & Development Coordinator (L&DC), who is her/his line manager. Nobody reports to this role. When possible, the L&DSO takes over responsibility for guidance of interns engaged in learning & development activities and events organization.  

The L&DSO cooperates closely with all other HR department members, PSI department, RDD management, Central HR dept., national HR staff and other country program staff responsible for learning & development, and also with other PIN depts. learning & development focal points. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Induction training

Under supervision of L&DC, in cooperation with HR Officers and Regional Administrative Officers:

  • organizes Induction training (IT) for new staff online, in HRIS Learning & Management System; 
  • shares timely structured information about the IT program and list of participants;
  • plans the dates of the training; 
  • ensures that the content of induction training sessions is updated on a regular basis; 
  • supports trainers with development of their sessions/webinars; 
  • improves quality of induction sessions/webinars by providing relevant feedback to the trainers on the training content, format and design; 
  • updates the information shared with IT’s participants on PIN Learning HUB confluence page; 
  • organizes individual stress management sessions;
  • coordinates engagement of HR interns in Induction organization; 
  • collects feedback from IT participants and suggests relevant improvements/changes of the IT program and format; 
  • provides structured reports on participation in IT trainings to LMs and Head of HR; 
  • communicates timely with the relevant LMs, Regional Administrative Officers, HR Officers and Head of HR in case of participant’s absence. 

Live webinars

  • schedules live webinars on a regular basis in LMS HRIS;
  • shares timely information regarding the schedule of live webinars;
  • updates training calendar in PIN Learning HUB confluence page;
  • provides technical support to internal trainers;
  • collects feedback from participants and suggests relevant improvements;

Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) and Personal Security Training (PST)

  • organizes participation of relevant staff in HEAT training – updates the overview of participants;
  • reflects HEAT participants’ feedback in further development of the HEAT provision scheme;
  • cooperates with PIN Safety and Security advisors and external providers in order to ensure fulfilment of relevant country programs’ need related to specific safety and security trainings provision;
  • organizes internal PST trainings on a regular basis;
  • creates overview of HEAT and PST attendance and ensures archiving of relevant certificates;
  • administers invoices and internal PRF

First Aid Course

  • organizes mandatory first aid courses in Czech and English language at HQ in Prague;
  • administers invoices and internal PRF

Others

  • depending on interest and available FTE, additional learning and development–related tasks may be assigned

Requirements:

  • Independence, responsibility, organized and proactive approach
  • Experience with Learning & Development is an advantage
  • Experience with working in HRIS Learning & Management System is an advantage
  • Have a experience with presentation and training facilitation is an advantage
  • Knowledge of online and digital learning tools such as Articulate is an advantage
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Possibility of remote work within CET
  • Fluent knowledge of English

  • Expected salary range: 17.500 - 20.000 CZK/ 0,5 FTE   OR   26.250 - 30.000CZK/ 0,75 FTE
