About the role:
This role is for a motivated and goal-oriented professional with experience in design and implementation of Learning & Development initiatives and / or other broader educational programmes.
As the L&D Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding PIN’s learning portfolio and providing learning opportunities and support to PIN staff worldwide.
You would become a key member of the Capacity Development Unit, part of the Human Resources Department, a small team focusing on continuous professional development of PIN international and national staff at HQ and Country Programs.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
L&D Coordinator together with the Capacity Development team covers all aspects of L&D for RDD staff. He / she ensures that RDD’s learning opportunities remain attractive, relevant and accessible for the trainees in broad range of topics incl. programmatic, operational topics as well as soft skills and leadership development.
Coordination and communication
- Promotes, maintains and updates PIN Learning Hub platform in Confluence (together with the Capacity Development team)
- Coordinates provision of online and in-person training courses, e-learning courses and other programmes in all thematic areas as required by RDD staff
- Identification of staff L&D needs, collecting training requests
- Organisation of learning events, incl. design, announcement, participant selection, communication with internal and external trainers and evaluation
- L&D data management and analysis: training registration, participation, completion, feedback and other data on training quality and results
- Maintenance of online PIN Course Catalogue
- Regular support and guidance to Country Programme-level HR and L&D staff
- Close coordination and communication across RDD, e.g. with Regional HR Coordinators, HQ support departments, regional and country-level management and RDD management
- Actively seeks for new L&D opportunities and follow trends in capacity development
Training design and delivery
- Methodological and technical support to trainers and technical advisors in preparing and delivery of training sessions, trouble-shooting
- Technical support to trainees during online and offline courses, trouble-shooting
- Initiates new training programmes and other learning opportunities based on the identified learning needs and skill gaps
- Development of course content and training delivery on selected topics e.g. training and facilitation skills, online tools for webinars, etc. depending on your interest and experience
Main requirements:
- Experience in design and implementation of Learning & Development initiatives or other substantial educational programmes
- Proven record of training design and delivery and strong facilitation skills
- Experience in humanitarian and/or development context
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with different groups of people and to respect the different cultural background
- High flexibility, independent problem solving and ability to readjust to new situations and quickly changing context
- Structured approach to data management (e.g. data on participants, offered courses, etc.)
- Fluent Czech is an advantage, but not necessary
- Good command of spoken and written English and other languages are an advantage (French, Portuguese, Arabic, Ukrainian, etc.)
