Project Coordinator for Ukraine

People in Need (PIN) is a Czech Republic-based NGO globally working in the relief and development sectors. PIN has been active in Ukraine since early August 2014 and the humanitarian program has been rapidly expanding since then: https://www.peopleinneed.net/what-we-do/humanitarian-aid-and-development/ukraine . Currently, PIN is one of the major humanitarian actor and we are looking for senior humanitarian professionals to help PIN's response to the escalating situation.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Planning and coordinating particular country programme activities
• Occasional coordination field visits to the target region based on security
• Development of projects, including project proposal writing and reporting
• Administration of project documentation
• Cooperating with the Finance Manager on budgets for individual projects
• Regular contact with partner organizations and with donors

Suitable candidates should possess:

• University degree in a relevant field
• Fluency in Russian and English. Native or non-native knowledge of Czech is also welcome, but not essential
• At least two-year experience at national or international level in the area of project management in civil society, human rights, media, psychosocial support to activists, or international development
• Good understanding of political issues and trends in the region of the former Soviet Union
• Excellent organizational and communicational skills
• Ability to effectively manage time and handle multiple assignments
• Conceptual thinking and reliability
• Proven ability to work both independently and as an effective team member
• Experience of working in complex and volatile contexts, including familiarity with the humanitarian context, would be an advantage.
• Valid work permit for the Czech Republic (EU citizens have the right to work in EU automatically)

• Starting salary in the range of 38 – 42 000 CZK gross/month based on your experience and PIN’s salary scale (for full time)
